Revolution
The Gonewald rebels, resulting in imperial consolidation in the area.
Long a cherished familial subject of the Regency of Verdon, the Gonewald descended into a series of rebellions following crackdowns by the Yeomanry and Magocracy officials on privately owned heirlooms believed to be of magical provenance. When a powerful magical confluence opened a Magicite vein in a powerful and popular local Noble's demesne, Imperial forces swooped in to confiscate the land. The Noble refused to surrender it, and the populace of around 80% of the Gonewald rose up in rebellion. Despite assurances from nearby former Centralian nobles that they would render assistance, the help never came after a series of Yeomanry-linked assassinations chilled support. By the return of the rainy season in 12 of 110 EY the rebellions had petered out.
The aftermath of this event was notable in the consolidation of many former Centralian separatists and mercenary groups under the Yeomanry, cementing the Empire's hold on the region. The Gonewald in turn was given more autonomy as a full member of the Union of Granmor but its government was stacked with Imperial Loyalists, resulting in a consolidation of that area as well.
