Lord of the Labyrinth

One of the original Minotaurs, named Asterion. Once a mortal child of the Mother of Beasts, who had answered the prayers of a community with a gift of her offspring. The community had not intended their prayer to be heard by the Mother, and grew to hate their beast-headed children, eventually locking them away. Years later Asterion and a band of other survivors broke free of their prison and slaughtered the families that betrayed them. Out of pride for her creation, the Mother of Beasts gifted him and his kin domain over mazes and labyrinths, so that they may never be trapped again. As the god of mazes and labyrinths Asterion has a tremendous amount of power within such spaces. He can come and go as he pleases and shift the paths around, and even send a creature into a different maze entirely. Those who cross him often find themselves in the domain of the Lord himself, the Ivory Labyrinth.
