About
Born in the town of Balestad 17th of Rainfall, 866 B.C. to a lower-middle class family within the capital of High Guard. Was the son of a failed businessman and desperate entrepreneur, that did everything he could to try and provide for his family. Luckily for him, he did not inherit his dads bad habits for poor decision making, and actually unlike his dad showed real aptitude when it came to business.
Forging a Legacy
Holsten is most famous for discovering the Wardstone & Highland Mines in 892 B.C. in the far north eastern region of the Arathi Highlands . After his discovery of the mines, he quicky got to work setting up his mining operation, earning what would later become his family's fortune & legacy.
Thanks to a deal made with the Freewind Royal Family known as, The Avarice Agreement this small mining site would soon explode into a full on mining settlement in 894 B.C. This new settlement led by him would inherit his namesake, becoming known as Holsten's Point. This agreement would not only help elevate but also secure his family's new financial & influential status amongst the upper echelon of Elysium , also known as
Elysium's High Nobility. He would be the first of his name granted the title and rank of Earl.

Becoming Chancellor
In 896 B.C. to vastly reduce the cost and time of transportation of goods / supplies to and from, Holsten would instead opt for their expansion. Transforming what was once a small mining settlement to what would eventually become the great city of Avarice by 902 B.C. Also known by this time as the "City of Splendor", for it's affluence and lavish highland scenery. This city quickly became a hot spot for artists, and those of wealth.
Thanks to his relationship with the Freewind Royal Family and the Kingdom of High Guard, becoming chancellor was a simple and seamless transition for him in his position. He would serve as The Chancellor of Avarice from the start of it's expansion in 896 B.C. until he stepped down in 946 B.C. Announcing his retirement and entrusted the position of chancellor to his son, so that he may enjoy his remaining years.
End of Life
Due to the sheer size of the wealth his mine produced for the Kingdom of High Guard over the decades, he would be ascend to the title of "Marquis of Avarice". He spent his retirement bouncing between his estates in both High Guard & Avarice before eventually passing on, 20th of Celtis, 954 B.C. His five long decades of service as chancellor earned him the honorific title of, "The Great Visionary of Avarice". His son would soon after erect a monument in his favor, and to this day is still revered as the city's most influential person.
