South West Faerun

The region of Faerûn is often referred to as "The Lands of Intrigue". Greyhaven is located in the south west part of the region.

Amn
This country is bordered to the north by the Cloud Peak Mountains and the south by the Small Teeth Mountains. The population is predominantly human, with about an eighth being halflings. The capital (Athkatla) is the main trade centre for the region. Magic is outlawed unless practised by designated mages or religious officials.
Muranndin
This country is bordered to the north by the Small Teeth Mountains. The population is a mix of humans and orcs, with the majority of the population being half-orcs. A few generations ago the country was at war with Amn. They now have a reasonably settled truce, but the war isn't forgotten.
