Session 16: Doubling Back
General Summary
After some thorough scouting, they started to explore. They fought their way through mimics to a room with several cells, including a noblewoman, an unmoving man, and two young men who begged for freedom. Moved by mercy, they unlatched the youths' door first, and the doppelgangers attacked, messing the party up pretty good.
The party retreated to the first room with the rescued noblewoman, but argued with her about whether to see her home or continue rooting out the cultists. During the argument, the noblewoman tripped and fell, activating the remaining mimic!
Timeline
12th of Wealsun, 595 CY
- 11:00 PM: The Party enters the Sodden Hold and frees Ilya Moorae. She demands to be removed from the dungeon but is badly hurt by a fight with a mimic on the way out.
- 11:30 PM: The party leaves the wounded Ilya in an office, Fake Vin snaps her neck when no one is looking.
