Session 22: Siege
General Summary
Wounded, robbed, and exhausted, the party backtracked to the ledge where they had been ambushed before. Nemara molded the earth to dig them out of sight. The party caught their breath and assessed the magic items they still had. Nemara discovered the bookbag she had grabbed from the doppelganger's stores could hold almost anything she put in it, and Vin realized the crystal jug they had looted from the Naga's hoard was an ever-smoking bottle.
She also saw a disgusting cephalopod-like abomination slither by, heading toward the entrance.
Thus bolstered, the party proceeded forward with a somewhat higher degree of caution. They peeked into the next chamber and beheld a number of Drow preparing for battle. Vin crept to the other side of the door to get a better look, but caught the eye of the Drow's priestess. She gave a command to her minions, and combat broke out!
Spells were slung, spiders were summoned, minions were pushed off of ledges and into webs, and Sigvurd, sickened and covered in web fragments, raged his way through killing the priestess and taking one of the minions captive.
As the dust settled, the party observed what looked like prison doors on the southern wall...
