Bjorn Hrothdunn

The human ranger known as Bjorn Hrothdunn is a self-appointed guardian of the greater Salinmoor region. Bjorn's favored terrains are swamps and forests, which make him a nearly peerless tracker and hunter within the borders of the Salinmoor.
While it is not well-known, Bjorn is also a werebear of daunting size and ferocity. Large claw-mark scars run down the left side of Bjorn's face from his temple to his neck, which are still present in his grizzly and hybrid forms. Despite his physically intimidating size, Bjorn is extremely stealthy while in his favored terrain, and few are capable of finding him if he does not wish to be found.

Apparel & Accessories

Bjorn is attired as a typical ranger, with studded leather and a deep cloak, all in colors designed to help disguise him in the wilderness. The studded leather was enchanted with fire resistance many years ago by a grateful elder wood nymph.

Specialized Equipment

In human form, Bjorn favors his oversized strongbow for distance and his silvered greataxe when rushing into melee. In hybrid or grizzly form, Bjorn crushes his foes with his massive black claws.
In addition, Bjorn possess a Ring of Animal Influence, which he wears like an earring.

Contacts & Relations

Some time back, Bjorn was in his werebear form when he chanced upon another lycan, Broc Foehammer, with whom he eventually became good friends. Both are talented monster hunters and, as good-aligned lycanthropes, they both share a passion for preventing the spread of the more bloodthirsty strains of the curse. With this in mind, Bjorn serves as Broc's proxy for the Urraidhean Dorrachas in the event Broc is slain, missing, or incapacitated. The werebadgers of the Urraidhean Dorrachas have always had strong relationships with their ursine kin, and Bjorn has more than earned their respect.
In addition to his ranger duties, Bjorn represents the interests of the local ursine populations, which includes bears, werebears, owlbears, kipine, and other such creatures.
