Vorass Devorr
The "gentleman ghoul" known as Vorass Devorr is a bureucrat and ambassador of something he refers to as the Darakhul Imperium. Little is known of this supposed Imperium, save that it exists somewhere in the Underdark. If Vorass is to be believed however, the Imperium is a vast society of "elevated" ghoulish creatures who possess no fear of the other powers lurking beneath the world such as the dark elves, duergar, beholders, and illithid.
Vorass was first encountered at the re-coronation of the Moor King, representing a delegation of ghoulish creatures known as The Hungry. He appeared to be the only intelligent ghoul present and the other, normally mindless, ghouls followed him unquestioningly. This in itself is disturbing; the idea that these undead could be so easily organized and controlled. Vorass claimed that he was simply "rescuing" victims of the necromancer Egan Lassiter, but what his designs may be is heretoforth unknown.
Physical Description
Special abilities
In a prepared disguise, Vorass is able to pass as a living creature. Those able to pierce this disguise, however, will recognize him for the true predator he is.
Vorass is also an accomplished spellcaster, a Shadowmancer of some note among his people. He rarely displays his full capailities, however, preferring to goad his enemies and rivals into making foolish mistakes.
Apparel & Accessories
Vorass is always impeccably accoutered in a well-tailored and expensive-looking suit. While his manner of dress is a bit more somber in its choice of hues, Vorass' vestments are none-the-less eerily reminiscent of the latest styles known to dominate the aristocracy of Keoland, particularly those in the high court of King Scotti.
Vorass also affects the use of a cane, purely for decorative purposes as an accessory. Careful examination of the etchings on the cane will reveal grotesque scenes of torture, dismemberment, and consumption of human flesh.
Mental characteristics
Intellectual Characteristics
Vorass is extremely intelligent, manipulative, and utterly devoid of anything resembling morality. As a diplomat, however, he must also adhere to his word once given. On the very rare occassions Vorass may be outwitted, opposing parties can rest assured he will find a way to put himself back on top without breaking his bond.
Personality Characteristics
Hygiene
Like all other ghouls, lacedons, darakhul, and ghoul-kin, Vorass emits a horrendous and nauseating stench so powerful that it can poison anyone near him. Unlike most ghoul-kin, however, Vorass can suppress this stench when he chooses, the better to blend into the societies of surface-dwellers.
