The Assassination of Volynae Adris

175 years ago, a daughter of the high council family of Adris was assassinated in the main square of Olarius by a human attacker, said to be of the rebellion.

A few months prior to this event, several other attacks were made on different members of the high council families, most notably those from the Elsalor line. Three months after the first attack, Volynae Adris was shot cleanly through the head with a single arrow and killed when she was only 47 years of age. Her attacker was swiftly caught two days later, a human named Dashiel Mirkon, and he was skinned alive in the same square of Olarius that Volynae was killed in. This event is ultimately thought to be the trigger for the Capital Massacre that would happen some 5 years later.
