Humans

Humans are the most numerous race and can be found all across Etharis
While Elves and Dwarves were the first races to claim Etharis, humans were the most versatile and were able to adapt and dominate. Humans today can be found in every corner of Etharis, while originally migrating from the forests of The Burach Empire. Their adaptable nature and adventurous mindset led them to conquest during the Era of Expansion. When victorious, the humans dismantled all the kingdoms they conquered.
With their conquest seemingly complete, the warlords turned on eachother. They began to war with each other, each trying claim the High Throne that would become the Imperial Throne of Altenheim. The second great area, known as the Era of Descent, led to the disintigration of the human race into various kingdoms. This allowed the other races to reemerge and integrate into society.
To this day, humans are considered the dominant race. They control most of the land and seas on the continant. Having shorter lives than the other races, their old hatreds have faded, and they now more receptive to other races. But elves and Dwarves live long, and can hold a grudge even longer.
