Grimhollow

For thousands of years’ humanity has populated Grimhollow living off the land and often warring for control of resources. One of these resources was magic, when darkness took control of the land a great and terrible war spread like an illness. Now young mages live in hiding, keeping their magic a secret from those who would alert the witch hunters. Far to the west in the lands of High Hopes a group of mages have formed that have the power to stop the Dark Lord and reclaim the name of magic as a force of good.

1. MagicMagic is defined as a form of Spiritual Energy that mankind holds within themselves. Magic can be condensed to the point of visualization, masked from those who can sense it, flared like a signal, used as a shield of protection and medics use it to heal; magic is found in the five basic elements of fire, earth, water, wind, and storm. However, that is only the basic knowledge mankind has obtained throughout history there are many ways and forms magic can take and mankind has only gleamed the surface.- RacesThe continent of Grimhollow is populated by various races each with their unique racial characteristics.
   • Humans (the only race with NO magical powers, but they can use magical tools or have magical children)
   • Mages (humans with magical powers)
   • Lorelei's (humanoid otterkin that use's magic like a bard or water spirit)
   • Jovan (a giant like race with elven features, have a natural affinity to earth magic)
