Salted Plains

The Salted Plains are the lands located north of the Empire of Exum's Northern Pillar, that have been raved by the Salt Storms. The area has no recognized ruler but it is known to be inhabited by the Jakaphet People.

History

The land used to be the seat of power of the Faeroahs. It was said that the land used to be a lush valley filled with vegetation similar that to central jungles. When the Faeroahs disappeared, it is said that the land died. Due to the Sphinxes fear of humans gaining access to the old sciences and machinery of the Faeroahs, they called for a storm that caused salt to fall out of the sky.

Geography

The Salted Plains is sits under one of the tallest mountain ranges in the world, the Mountains of the Faeroahs. To the north are three inland seas that form a sort of border from the lands fo the Seven Sultanates.

Natural Resources

Of course salt is one of the main resources in the Salted Plains, there is also rumored to be large gold and silver deposits among other valuable minerals.
There is also rumor that the Salted Plains contains the old sciences and tools of the Faeroahs and the reason the Sphinxes called down the salt storms to keep the humans away from what they considered destructive tools.
