kě no dànhúa | Hands of Dànhúa
This is what "The other one"'s group (jokingly, at first) referred to themselves as. It was due to dànhúa being so instrumental to their training and lives, so they called themselves that partially to embarrass him a little, and partially because they thought it was cool (as children). Once they were drafted, others began calling them that in an official capacity-- it was their 'unit's designation. Throughout the centuries, their name became a bit lost in translation; some languages shortened it to merely "The Hands", while others began calling them "Thorns"-- as dànhúa was not recognized as a name (and subsequently translated). In those cases "hands" were thought to be a euphamism for thorns.
