Henrietta Arbuckle
Henrietta grew up in a small, secluded halfling village with little contact with the rest of the world. Her peers had no interest in anything that happened outside of the walls of their society, but Henrietta couldn't help but sometimes cast a wayward glance to the horizon, wondering just what kind of world she was missing. One day in the middle of a particularly hot summer, a wandering clergyman stumbles upon the village. He introduces himself as Garemir, a cleric of the healing god Zanarin. After a quick demonstration of his healing abilities, Henrietta immediately took an interest in this stranger, incessantly pestering him about his time as a traveler and his tales of the outside world, as well as his faith. Over the next several years, Garemir came and went, bestowing blessings on the locals and setting aside extra time to visit with Henrietta. She grew quite fond of him and looked forward to his visits, smothering him with her endless questions at every opportunity. However, as time passed, she noticed that he was slowly becoming more and more frail, and one day, he collapsed in her company.
Garemir revealed to her that he was suffering from an incurable disease, and that he would soon join his god in the afterlife. He asked her to take his holy pendant to the Church of Zanarin and inform them of what happened to him. As he died, Henrietta swore that she saw something otherworldly in his eyes. She decided to honor her friend's request, adopting his religion and swearing to deliver his token. However, with only a name, a vague direction, and no prior experience with travel, she doesn't know quite where to start...
