Halcyon is home to a vibrant retirement community for wealthy warlocks. These retired warlocks have a lot of free time, access to one another's profane knowledge, limited accountability, and access to the Infernal Nexus, and its nearly limitless Void energy. This combination caused a renaissance in infernal studies. Some of these early founders established the tradition of Boggartry, formalized by their establishment of the Warlock Kennel Club Association.
The Warlock Kennel Club Association oversees standards for boggart breeds, officiates certification, and holds several kennel club events a year.
