Sylvia Reed

Sylvia Reed is the Lightkeeper of the Circle of Chaos & Ash as a part of Candela Obscura. She became a Lightkeeper only a few months prior to the creation of this Circle, after she was recommended to step down from the front lines following a terrible accident during the course of an assignment with her previous Circle.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Sylvia's body has started to deteriorate on her, though she does try to stay in generally good health. Her mobility has become more limited due to the extensive scarring across her entire body.

Identifying Characteristics

Sylvia has three significant "scars" as a result of her time as an investigator for Candela Obscura. She is deaf in her left ear. Her entire body is covered in interlacing, lightning-like scars. Her third scar she keeps hidden by wearing gloves, but those close to her may rarely see that her right hand is skeletal, having lost all of the flesh from it. Her hand still retains some jerky movement.

Personal history

Sylvia Reed joined Candela Obscura following the mysterious disappearance of her older sister, Eleanor, when they were both in their early twenties. All that remained of Eleanor was a mysterious, glowing, unfamiliar locket, which Sylvia has kept all these years. Sylvia spent a great deal of time studying the occult and became somewhat of an expert in the matter, which made her skills invaluable to Candela Obscura.

Education

Sylvia is very well-read and knowledgeable in all manner of the occult and The Flare. Much of what she knows is self-taught and learned through direct experience.

Sylvia continues to serve Candela Obscura as the Lightkeeper for the Circle of Chaos & Ash because she still hopes to discover what happened to her sister all those years ago. Additionally, she hopes to give her new Circle the best chance she can at survival by passing on the knowledge she has gathered over the years.
