Kemegi
Kemegi is a truly massive Dragomander. Where lesser instances of his kind range several feet long, Kemegi is 70 meters long, has wingspan of 610 feet, and weighs several tons. Kemegi's fiery breath can incinerate entire villages in minutes and can cut a burning swath through armies and cities alike. His magical power is on par with any sorcerer and his raw strength can topple fortified walls. His home at the top of the Akrea Supervolcano in Ekraht is an unassailable fortress of poison and magic. He is the smartest, strongest, most powerful of them all.
It is perhaps lucky for mortal-kind that Kemegi has the temperament and personality of a lazy gecko and has no intention of using any of those things. His time as a familiar long ago granted him some knowledge of mortal ways, and he has drawn the conclusion that he is not interested. He now hides in his volcano. Some even say he is dead or gone, but others whisper of great wings in the deep-smoke accompanied by primordial flame.
Kemegi is considered the dragon-god of Kamada, though he refuses to interact with his priests or give any kind of spiritual takes.

Personal history
Kemegi was born in 300 DE and spent many centuries like any other dragomander: eating, sleeping, flying, rolling in magma. But with age came a slowly growing intellect and by 365 ME Kemegi was thoroughly bored. That's when a dryad teenager named Makoi stumbled into their home, and Kemegi decided he would fly them down to where they came from. The dryad had good vibes and Kemegi spent more time there- and as Makoi began dracoplasmosis-bonding with Kemegi, they established a telepathic connection. The two became friends, and Kemegi decided to become Makoi's familiar. Together they flew, traveled, overcame enemies, enjoyed music, and generally had a good time as friends. Kemegi wasn't particularly interested in who they fought or why they did what they did- he was just happy to have a friend.
In 440, on one of their grand tour stops, Makoi was assassinated by another immortal: the flower Suwota. Kemegi vowed vengeance and decided that a flower was an easy enough target- but Suwota's forces were fierce and well-prepared and Kemegi was terrible injured. He burnt as much of Suwota's city before fleeing back to Ekraht, enraged and alone again. After healing, he finally decided to start visiting his acquaintance- the giant sugarglider @Bobit, who Kemegi had met during his travels. From 450 to 650, Kemegi spent half his time in Akrea and half with Bobito, enjoying the immortal friendship. But the two had very little in common outside of immortality, and Kemegi's indifference, pride, and callousness deeply irritated Bobito. The friendship slowly disintegrated, and Kemegi simply stopped showing up rather than put in any effort to repair the relationship. He again stewed in his loneliness, this time mixed with pride and self-pity. This went on for actual centuries.
In 913, the supervolcano erupted in a major way and flung dragomanders across the continent. Kemegi began soaring around the continent along with all of the lesser dragomanders, and rather enjoyed being out again. When the empire Kemegi was soaring through finally recovered from the eruption, their new leader, Manar the Fox, offered Kemegi a permanent home in the Empire of Zerua . In this palace-temple, Kemegi would receive endless fire termites, sulfur, and entertainment - and all he would have to do is show up to certain ceremonies and put a crown on someone's head every couple decades. Kemegi gladly accepted and enjoyed some centuries as an imperial guest. In 1198, this arrangement finally ended when the volcano erupted again. Civil war had been unleashed across the empire in the aftermath, and the emperor demanded that Kemegi bond with him and help rebuild the empire. Kemegi, realizing his way of life was ending, accepted to put things back to normal and became the emperor's familiar. But unlike Makoi, this emperor was far more imperious and demanding. Unhappy with being bossed around, Kemegi batted the emperor with his tail, shattering the emperor's body completely. Kemegi's telepathic connections remained for that last minute of tortured life and Kemegi was forced to reckon with the pain he had caused. Not only the pain here, but Kemegi began to realize this happened to all of those people he smashed or incinerated. He panicked and did what he always did whenever he felt overwhelmed: he flew to the supervolcano to sulk.
From 1200 to 1300, Kemegi spent most of his time in the volcano. He was invited back to the palace, but he felt uncomfortable being there now that he understood that there were actual obligations secretly attached. In 1300, he stopped showing up entirely after a new emperor attempted to use harpoons to trap Kemegi in the imperial palace to forcibly bind him as a familiar. Kemegi retreated to his mountain permanently after 1300, though he still accepted visitors there. In 1500, one of those visitors was most unusual- it was an awakened dragomander, who had led a group of sentient dragomanders to Kemegi. They demanded he assume his position as emperor of dragonkind and from 1510 - 1610 he decided he would actually try it. The others tried to awaken as many as possible, and Kemegi acted as judge, lawmaker, and general counsel. It was an absolute failure. Kemegi hated ruling, the dragons hated being ruled, no one even knew what ruling meant in this context, it was chaos. By 1650 everyone had given up on the idea. But Kemegi was left feeling responsible and wise- a new dragon. He decided to go touring again, and perhaps visit an old friend.
From 1650-1800, Kemegi toured the world and tried to spend time befriending Bobito. It was better than last time, but still Bobito and Kemegi just weren't compatible. It was less harsh an ending this time, but just kind of sizzled out with both parties wishing it could have worked better. It was during this time abroad that Kemegi received international attention- and attracted the ire of an old enemy. After retiring again to his mountain in 1800, Kemegi received a visitor: a strange and powerful sentient dragomander who asked for Kemegi to host a foreign dragon prince at Akrea. Kemegi was excited to meet someone who could be a friend who might understand him again: but what arrived was more strange dragomanders and an entourage of very strange and large spined dryads. One of these introduced themselves as Suwota, the city-flower Kemegi once tried to kill- and demanded Kemegi return and pay for his crimes in years of servitude. Kemegi refused and attacked, but the strange dryads were immune to his flames. Kemegi lost the ensuing battle and was pinned as Suwota prepared some strange and powerful form of magic to bend him to her will. It was enough time for the sentient dragomanders Kemegi had gathered to launch a suicidal attack to free Kemegi, allowing the great dragon to fling himself into the volcano and hide. Hunted in his own home, he was forced to flee the continent and travel abroad in disguise. In South-central Suneka, Kemegi finally settled for a bit and made allies with the Lunar Pantheon. Suwota lost Kemegi's trail, and with the god's assistance he returned to Ekraht in secret in 1890.
Kemegi has since focused on defense. He has worked with the local prism groups of the Akrean mountains to protect his home from all outsiders, and has raised a legion of undead servitors to guard the volcanic core. He and his few remaining sentient dragons hold 'court' now in secret, hiding from the dangers of the world. For it is only a matter of time before Suwota returns, and this time they will be ready.
