The Aleokifa
The Aleokifa is best translated as "the hungry place"- but it means something more in the imagination of Inahng . The Aleofika is a monster disguised as a place, a slithering tomb of monstrous proportions. It appears as an abandoned grandiose entranceway adorned with faded statues and intricate carvings. Its huge stone doorways conceal a faint light and a glimmer of gilded tile. Visitors do not see it moving, do not feel its gaze. But those who enter and do not flee before the doors shut behind them are dead with few exceptions. It was made by The Hidden One for unknown reasons.
The Aleokifa moves from place to place by warping space- essentially, it is a mountain forever on the move but never actually detectably moving. It can warp space to move the door to different parts of its exterior, and it can also move around the maze of rooms inside of it. It is unknown if this creature is sentient or simply an able predator with a skill for luring in adventurers or wanderers. It is also unknown if the Aleokifa needs to eat- but eat it does, dissolving those who remain inside of it slowly when it shuts its doors.
While mobile and capable of going anywhere, the Aleokifa seems to prefer the Adira Mountains. It has been known to venture briefly into the deserts to the East.
Humanoids have been rumored to live on the Aleokifa, but seem to hide from all outside contact. It is unknown if they are mirages of the beast, cultists, or Gluttonmaws.
