The Saltspear

The Saltspear of Tishalla is a divine artifact, created in the early days of the Divine Era by The Chimera themselves. It is a spear of seamless white metal, indestructible by mortal means. The spear can only be attuned by a descendant of Ghavi - a category that includes much of Inahng at this point. When attuned, it is not only a weapon of immense striking power, but it also provides the wielder with the ability to turn any living creature to a statue of pure salt.
This artifact is closely associated with the throne of Calazen, and any imperial candidate must demonstrate their ability to attune and wield it before ascending to the throne. During Calazen's civil wars, the candidate who holds the spear has a much greater chance of victory.
As an in-game artifact, the Saltspear acts as a +6 weapon that allows the user to petrify any creature the wielder can see within 100 yards as an action. Targets must succeed on a very high Constitution saving throw to resist.
