Unwilling

The Unwilling are individuals who were exposed to the corruption of Safia, the False Halcyon but refused to embrace or obey her apocalyptic mission. The Unwilling's bodies are twisted and monstrous, rebuilt to kill and destroy. While the minds of the newborn monsters are often horrified at what they are doing, they lack any sense of control over their actions, and are pre-programmed to move from one atrocity to the next until slain. Some Unwilling remain vocal in their bodies, begging for help and howling in grief at their new lives. Only the total destruction of the False Halcyon will free these wretched souls - upon death, their souls return to her, to be reborn in fresh monster-bodies. 
Species seems to affect what kind of monster people turn into. It is unknown if other factors may influence this as well. 
What is known of the Unwilling as of now:

• Human Unwilling transform into fungal hives and spore emitters, with some basic weapon-appendages.
• Dryad Unwilling transform into large clawed monsters that are set to charge at any non-corrupted sentient life
• Half-dryad Unwilling become stealthy, venomous beasts with excellent climbing abilities.
• Prism Unwilling become huge crystalline monsters.
• All Unwilling seem driven to collect corpses, particularly of sentient life forms
• Willing seem to be able to control small numbers of Unwilling
• The Unwilling are alive and sentient in there, but are prisoners in their own body. They are unable to intentionally say anything that could be useful to their enemies
