Elf

Elves are a fairly common race in Halth'aire, originating on the continent of Londthas but being found in nearly every major center of civilization. Londthas is the home of the elven race, being home to the three elven kingdoms and the majority of elves in Halth'aire. Elven culture is primarily split into three main groups: Nsalenoric elves, Nilalumic elves, and assimilated elves. Nsalenoric elves are those who reside in either Morduin or Caelcoa or believe in the Nsalenoric pantheon; however, there are many key differences between the cultures of Morduic and Caelcoan elves, and they are often denoted as two separate cultures. Nilalumic elves are those who reside in Aendrithor or worship the Nilalumic pantheon. The term "assimilated" is used to refer to elves who reside outside of the elven kingdoms who also practice cultural and religious traditions that are not elven in nature.
Elves are taller and thinner humanoids with pointed ears and more angular facial features. Nsalenoric elves tend to have larger, outstretched ears while Nilalumic elves tend to have more human-like ear shapes. They can bear most human skin tones as well as dull greens, yellows, oranges, and purples among other colors. Elves tend to live anywhere from five hundred to eight hundred years on average, maturing at twenty-five and aging slowly from that point on. However, elven Ryhai Sy'n are rarely affected by their supposedly extended lives, often dying around a century into their lifespans. A large proportion of Ryhai Sy'n are elves or half-elves, a likely side effect of the greater proportion of elves with access to innate magical powers.
