Faernor Alari

Faernor Alari is the longstanding Minhil of Aendrithor, having ruled over the elven kingdom for over three hundred years. His long reign is perceived to be one of the most influential reasons behind the stability of the kingdom, especially in the wake of recent turmoil in Caelcoa and Morduin over arcane storms, dissipating magic, and monstrous excursions. Faernor is an older elven man, being over five hundred years of age, and is seen as a strict yet just ruler, traits characterized by his thoughtful and reasonable policies and overall rule. Faernor is unnaturally tall, being even a giant among elves, and has a piercing, naturally angered facial expression. He wears extravagant clothing and jewelry and always carries a large staff with a strange, spherical bauble floating between its two points. His imposing image is directly contrasted with his overall relaxed personality and general care for his subjects and nation. 
Recently, Faernor has begun relaxing the overbearing religious segregation present within Aendrithor, revoking policies and legal code which allow for the imprisonment and execution of elves who follow the Nsalenoric Pantheon rather than the more common Nilalumic Pantheon. This has made him a target among zealots and conservative priests, who believe him to be tarnishing the reputation of Aendrithor as a bastion of the true Elven pantheon. In addition, his imposition of greater taxes on the nation's trade guilds, while a bold and popular move, has caused slight economic downturn and protest among the influential guild leaders.
