Halth'aire's Cosmology
The Planes of Halth'aire are aligned in a branching circular system with layers of planes surrounding the central material plane. The first layer is split into six sections, one for each major spiritualistic or religious pantheon of gods. The first ring or layer of planes is home to the major planes of each pantheon. These are the planes that house the gods as well as their non-mortal subjects. The next layer of planes is home to the domain of each individual god of each pantheon. Each minor plane is connected to the major plane of the same pantheon through a Llywbr, arcane portals that transport gods and any approved travelers between planes. The major planes are all connected to a neutral plane that sits above the material plane known as Cyfar which acts as a meeting place between the pantheons. There is no direct and permanent Llywbr between the major or minor planes and the material plane, though one can be opened in Cyfar if the gods deem it necessary.
The third ring/layer of planes is home to the eight elemental planes. These planes are ruled over by primordial spirits of Halth'aire and do not belong to any one pantheon, instead they influence the material plane directly through natural arcana. There are no permanent connections between the third layer and any other planes. The fourth layer is home to four planes which encompass four abstract and distinct elements of man: mortality, tranquility, anger, and ambition. Again, the planes in this layer have no connections to any other planes and are almost independent bar their minor influence on the material plane through omens, curses, and other spiritual afflictions. The fifth and final layer is home to a loose web of nine planes that are loosely connected by interplanar pathways. These planes are dangerous and almost entirely unexplored, being home to unstable magic and primordial beasts as well as evil old gods who have long been forgotten. Some of these planes are said to hold great treasures or knowledge, but the few who have attempted to reach these magical lands have never returned. These planes are the Grounds of the Severed, the Skyward Vales, the Twin Ebony Halls, Loslosach, Aebenys, The Flowing Lands, Gliwophere, and Tiroedd Anferth.
