Mikael Damsgard

Mikael Damsgard is a Ryhai Sy'n scholar who is a member of the White Blades, an influential trade and mercenary guild in Auchnavar. He is a half-elven man with a full beard and short, brown hair. He is most often denoted by his Etril crown, a band of metal he wears to dampen his innate wild magic. He is a scholar working with the White Blades, researching natural hotspots of the Wellspring's arcana in Kingour. The White Blades, aiming to gain even more influence in Auchnavar, sponsored his research as they hoped he would discover regions rich with magical components and other desired resources. Unfortunately, during his research, he was presumably attacked and kidnapped by members of the Cult of the Shard-Touched, a group of zealots that have been plaguing Auchnavar's southern regions. The southern town of Moorgate, within which he was conducting some of his research, was taken over by cultists, leaving his current whereabouts unknown. Mikael was known to have strong natural magic, more than most Ryhai Sy'n, forcing him to wear stronger and more effective dampeners. Thus, many within the White Blade hierarchy fear the possibility of him potentially becoming a "living weapon" of sorts.
