The second emperor of the Haluan Empire is assassinated.

The public assassination of Theoden Halua. During one of his speeches, trying to rally the navy to push into more countries, Theoden is murdered publically. Due to his arrogance, he did not have any guard protecting him, and he dies immediately. The assassin commits suicide before he can be captured.
