Merchant Council of Birk

The town is governed by a plutocracy, with the wealthy merchants and landowners having the most power.

There are seven seats in the council and are currently occupied by the following persons:

• Sarella Shendar – 48, human, female, head of the Merchant Guild, ruthless businesswoman
• Jorin Greyfeather – 38, gnome, male, head of the Artisan's Guild, skilled craftsman and negotiator
• Elslor Zumra – 67, human, female, head of Tower Arcanis in Birk, wise and experienced wizard
• Garranoth - 56, human, male, a wealthy merchant member of the Merchant Guild, known for his shady business deals
• Darlia - 111, elf, female, a popular artisan, known for her beautiful sculptures and member of the Artisan's Guild
• Rolen Willow - 21, human, male, a young wizard, inherited the fortune and businesses of one of the great merchant houses that goes back to the founding of Birk, he is seeking to make a name for himself
• Ulthok - 97, dwarf, male, a gruff dwarf, member of the Merchant Guild and representative of the Dwarven clans in the Misty Mountains
