Session 05 - Tracking the Circle Report

General Summary

Sunday, 2nd Reaping of 784

Finn has a perturbed dream, before awakening his pendent that was given to him by his grandfather shines in a blue light, no one can wake him. At the end from the blue light, a small creature appears, a blue drake who seems to be bonded with Finnan.
The party meets Archibald, hailing from the town of Birk, 'Archi' stops in Harmony and desires to help them and the party.
Along the way towards the Lake many animals are found dead without any signs of external injuries.
The closer the party is to the lake the more dead animals are found.
Near the lake, hiding in the bushes they find Clionyss, Surreal Sha recognizes her as one of the members of her Circle.
Clionyss was afraid, with only seldom moments of lucidity, but most of the time speaking incoherent sentences, sometimes even speaking with someone that no one else sees.
In her few moments of lucidity, she was able to recognize Surreal and shared a few bits of information
When the druids arrived at the lake they successfully summoned the Archfey known as the Lady of the Lake, as it is customary, they started a ritual with her, in which they bonded their energy so all be in full communion with the Lady.
A big explosion in the sky was heard and terror ensued, the Lady mentioned that "the sword had to be protected" and dove into the lake, some druids casted water breathing, other wild shaped into water animals and followed her, sadly some others in complete rage, fighting each other to the dead in animal form.
A cursory investigation at the edge of the lake reveals 6 bodies, that Surreal confirms to all being members of the Circle.
From the skies of the Woods a frenzied Manticore assaults the party, but is eventually taken down and killed.
