Lord’s Vale
The moors with strange flowers and high cliffs over the Great Lake Dividier is peppered with sturdy watchtowers and a strange structure called the Seat where the region is overseen by the red drakken Argen the Peacemaker. Life in Lord’s Vale is as peaceful as life in Plain Hills can be. Argen looks after his loyal subjects and especially those fortunate enough to live near the many Argen’s Eyes or the Seat are in luck. They won’t suffer from hunger or die from treatable disease. Still, there are sorrow and desperation in Lord’s Vale. Argen’s Bridge is the large port city where most of the trade to north goes through. It is a seedy, desperate city filled with those ready to do anything to advance in life. Argen’s watchful presence doesn’t always reach the city at the edge of the Lord’s Vale and the heavy taxation hurts free mortals the most. The villagers in small communities all around the Lord’s Vale survive mostly by collecting the strange flowers and herbs growing around the moors and searching for Pearls of Ground, small magical stones that sell or insurmountable amount of Drakken Gold. Lord’s Vale borders the smaller mountains in the west and the Tempestuous Fields and it’s fringe communities. Because of the Tempestuous Fields so near drawing most of the bad weather, Lord’s Vale is blessed with great weather and beautiful skies. Because of that, it is sometimes known also as the Plain Paradise. The best place to live if you need to live in the Plain Hills.
