Portside
Portside is known for its rowdy atmosphere that tones down only when an especially important ship sails to the city. At almost any time of the day, Portside is filled with all sorts of mortals rushing through with barrels and carriages filled with boxes and containers. The noises of seagulls and other birds is deafening and mortals yell at each other. Servants try to get their masters best deals for shipping and others try to buy from the cargo before it even lands on Argen’s Bridge.
Soldiers and private guards patrol Portside making sure that no cargo disappear from the warehouses and that no strange people make their way to the city, or out of it.
Amongst the warehouses, there are workshops where mortals build and repair the many ships sailing from Argen’s Bridge to Gemaire. Work is never-ending and most mortals will never be able to afford to even look at the items they are carrying from the ships to the waiting carriages.
At Portside, there is the Harbour master’s office and barracks for soldiers to stay on their way to the battlegrounds. Other private guard companies also have their offices near the waterline, selling their protective services for those not wealthy enough to have their own.
On the more inland and eastern side of Portside is more filled with better quality warehouses and office buildings
The transition into Eastern Run is noticeable
On the western side and along the shoreline, there are the docks and shabbier warehouses alongside the workshops and working halls.
Eastern side is noticeably poorer and less protected by guards and soldiers
