Kemri has always had a low population of people. It was once ruled by a duke, but after a few generations, the family line died without heirs. Afterwards Kemri was deemed beneath notice and no new duke was sent. It was only after king Shezu Irekan the Blessed sent his elder brother prince Latten to his exile did Kemri gain a duke.
After prince Latten was appointed as a duke of Kemri, he strived to gain good relationship between his administration and Uskevig. After building their relationship, step by step, he tried to raise his power in court by gaining influence in Uskevig, but the spies king Shezu Irekan the Blessed had planted in Kemri betrayed him and told the king everything.
