Luxembourge Convention
Overview
The Luxembourge Convention is the name of a diplomatic meeting between representatives of France, Spain, England, the German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire regarding the countries continuing conduct with each other. The meeting was focuses on regulating safe travel between nations, required identification citizens need to carry, necessary qualifications to take jobs or establish a business, weapons permits and the jurisdiction of military and civilian forces. Likewise the Continuing Peace Resolution, while it had already been agreed upon previously, was signed and ratified during the Convention.
The Convention was held in Straßbourge under the patronage of the Luxembourgian government, which had offered to host it for symbolic reasons, due to its position in the heart of Europe. In an ironic twist the governments of the attending countries would later decide to use Luxembourge as its dedicated battlefield for future conflicts.
