The world changed when Rudolf Diesel discovered a way to enrich fuel to a previously unheard of degree, allowing for advanced machines which far outperformed the capabilities of current day technology.

    Invention of the Diesel Fuel Additives

    Diesel, together with his research team discovers a series of additives that allow further refinement of oil based fuel types into much more potent versions.   The first prototype of Sangre is so potent, the generated waste heat melts the engine used to test the new super fuel, killing one of the researchers. The fuel receives a spanish name in honour of this dead collegue.

    An explosion shatters Mount Maglić, at the border of Montenegro and Bosnia. Rock fragments are found hundreds of miles away and dust darkens the sky for months. Nearby towns are wiped from the earth. The explosion is attributed to a failed scientific experiment involving nuclear energy.
