Ak Makasir Shamaniq Yaluk (Mock-Uh-Sear)
Servant of the Gneissic Queen
History
Early Life
Despite Makasir's ubiquitous presence across Wythe and Lagona for much of the Imperial Era, little is known of his early life. As a native-born son of southern Teoti Itza, Makasir was presumably a follower of Xilo-Talpec and Tezcoutlan, the twin Serpent Gods of Blood and Obsidian. It is said that as a hatchling, Makasir witnessed his father beat his mother and three siblings to death in a drunken rage. In retaliation, Makasir hacked his father to pieces with an axe and feasted on the remains, but not before tearing his father's fangs from his jaws and fashioning them into a pair of daggers.
Following this utterly macabre spectacle, Makasir is said to have left his family's abode and wandered alone amongst the Teoti highlands for many years. Practically nothing is known of Makasir's exploits during this time, save for the odd folktale in the Teoti oral tradition making reference to a wandering shaman with copper scales, healing the sick and wounded in exchange for knowledge and hidden lore.
Wider Travels
At some point in the following decades, Makasir's wanderings took him out of Teoti Itza and into greater Wythe. During a chance encounter with Dunstan von Braddocke—my predecessor at the University—an older and more mature Makasir revealed some of the motivations behind his travellings:
