Talkhandari (Tal-Khan-Dar-Ee)

Talkhandari (Imperial Wythian: Bladed Grass), also known as Pembirya, Dárdisor, or Hound's Tooth, is a species of tall grass native to Meluvrata, Mrembura, and Barazár. It is known for the wickedly-sharp bristles which give the plant its name. In Lagonic medicine, Talkhandari is fed to those who have ingested poison in order to induce vomiting, as the grasses' spines cause severe irritation to the lining of the stomach. Among the Wstaar'si, blades of the grass are commonly woven into the outer layers of infant's swaddling clothes, to discourage birds and other predators from preying on the children while their parents are away.
