Rune-Spells (Teletai)

The Rune-Spells (Teletai) are a series of 7 spells involving seven specific Runes used for magical purposes. Teletai is different from NM as it is nature-based and can be used by anyone.   For centuries Teletai has been used by the Vedda and Yea'haa'weh, although only the Yea'haa'weh elders are allowed to perform Teletai.

Effect

Depending on the Rune, effects can range from burning someone to teleporting to another side of the Heimland.

Side/Secondary Effects

Side-effects normally include exhaustion. A person performing Teletai will feel their energy being sucked away as they cast the spells. Teletai requires sacrifice, energy-sacrifice.

Manifestation

Each Rune forms a specific smell when being used. Fire is sulfur, Water is sea-salt, Wind is mint, Terra is cinnamon/copper, Soul is honeysuckle and Time is any fragrance the spell-caster prefers.

The power of Teletai comes from its Runes. Each Rune is powerful in its own way.   The first Rune is Fire (Agnipath):
This Rune represents fire, heat and war. Very powerful, used in battle a lot.   Then there is Water (Pisces):

This Rune represents water, liquids and healing. Used mainly to heal wounds and pains. Can also be used to form floods and tsunamis.   Then there is Wind (Anima)

This Rune represents wind, rhythm and gases. Used mainly for transport (e.g. carrying a person across a broken bridge via wind-power). Can also be used to form tornadoes.   Then there is Terra (Gaia)

This Rune represents earth, nature and solids. It can be used to form earthquakes. A consequence of using this Rune is that everything in a 2-thanna radius may collapse.   Then there is Soul (Magicka)

This Rune represents soul, life and the supernatural. It can be used to extract Moona to use in stronger spells.   Then there is Space (Maguš)

This Rune represents space, matter and substance. The words "Békalīs-Almanzar" are carved in the Rune. It can be used for many things, including morphing things at a cellular-level, manipulating matter into something else (transmutation) or separating matter into nothingness (obliteration). It is incredibly powerful, and very hard to use. Most die whilst using it.   And finally there is Time (Telos)

This Rune is certainly the most powerful of the Runes. "Békalīs-Almanzar" is also carved on this Rune. There is a 97% chance that whoever uses this Rune will die. The Time-Rune can be used to manipulate time and affect the space-time continuum drastically. It can take its user to the past, present or future. This Rune is so dangerous only six people have ever attempted to use it; five of them died, the last one went missing.

Discovery

Teletai has been used before the Old Folk came to Heimland. It is a sacred tradition, although now Nuclear-Magic is mostly used instead since it is a bit safer.
Material Components
The materials needed for Teletai are normally the ones assigned to the Rune. For example, a person using Agnipath will require some fire to be kept next to the Rune for use. The same goes for Pisces and Terra. Anima can be used anywhere with wind. Magicka requires a living creature to be nearby. Maguš and Telos require Space and Time energy extracted from their surroundings, which often has severe repercussions.
Gestures & Ritual
To activate Teletai a person must first draw the Rune. After saying the necessary chant the person can use the Rune by saying "Békalīs-Almanzar!!!" (an ancient spell-word).

Related elements include fire, water, wind, earth, soul/quintessence, space/matter and time.
Effect Duration
Depending on the Rune, as long as the person casting the Teletai will go on.
Effect Casting Time
Normally about two minutes per Teltai, sometimes quciker.
Range
Fire, water, air and earth affect a radius of 2 thanna (1 thanna = 360 miles). Soul, space and time affect 20 thanna.
Level
Can only be cast by experienced and pwerful spell-casters. Not everybody can use Teletai.
Applied Restriction
Restrictions include:   Not using Teletai to hurt someone, not using Teletai to affect time or space negatively, not using Teletai to destroy a land/area inhabited by people, not using Teletai to kill someone or do crime.
