Iceborn
Born of war and servitude, the iceborn have struck out to carve their own history in the realm. Icy dverge capable of building and living with and around true ice, the iceborn are unique among dverge. Their connection to the elemental realm draws them to Svell - not Eldr, as it does for most. Despite this, they maintain the fierce stubborn nature of the dverge.

Culture and cultural heritage
The iceborn were once fortborn, engaged in war with the wicked ðyrs. During the war, a large number of fortborn were captured, forced into servitude in the icy realm of the ðyrs. Over the generations of bondage, their bodies were warped and changed, and they came to take on the icy nature of Svell, deadening their link to Eldr, and to a degree, Hyrrhorn.
The iceborn are incredibly independent, generally opposed to any strong governance of their lives. In Arísert, the iceborn formed a council from the Houses of their population, attempting to form a representative democracy. They strongly object to slavery of any kind, loath to be reminded of their own past bondage. Paradoxically, they can be relatively cold to the plight of the mon'toskur, slow to trust free'mon when encountered.
Historical figures
While many iceborn exist throughout the realms, the greatest concentration within Myrkviðr is undoubtedly Arísert - due to the actions of Fo'rein, a ðyrs who turned coat and led fifteen thousand iceborn slaves to freedom. Fo'rein is remembered to this day, the bay on which Arísert sits being named after them, and one of the two major temples being dedicated to their honor.
