The Shattered Sea Trade and Banking Company

The formal Corporate entity that comprises the various Merchants Guilds, Banks, and the Free Cities of the Daggerbreak Isles in the Shattered Sea. Its policies shape trade of every kind through out the world. From the Conventional to the Arcane. The Shattered Sea Trading Company has its hands in every market except for the dying Ramian Slave Market. The Company is also reputed to contain various Thieves Guilds and a Pirate Confederation. Which of course. The Company denies.

Structure

The Shattered Sea Company is headed by the Commission of Shareholders and Guild Masters. This Commission elects a President to Head and Moderate the Commission. The Commission meets in the Hall of Commerce on the Island of Higald. Where they vote on everything from the increase or decrease of the prices of goods, to the directional trade of specific goods.

To engage in trade and mercantile business through out the world. As well as maximize all present profits and assets.

History

First established in the Fourth Aeon 79 A.E. under the reign of Vaeldemar Palimon to establish a transcontinental trade cooperation between the various and rival merchants guilds and their investors. The Shattered Sea Company was established in the Shattered Sea for the centralized cross traffic between the Burgeoning Heartland Realms, and the rich and mysterious Eastern Kingdoms and princepalities of The Great Abkari Desert. Operating under the same Charter since its founding. The Shattered Sea Company has conducted business on nearly every shore of each continent ever since.

Originally established to kickstart the economy of the Heartland Realms, and to end the rivalry of the various Merchant Cartels that arose from dissolvement of The Ellician Empire. Having maintained and even horded various financial connections and trade routes that kept the Old Empire running. But their rivalries made life for the common people difficult. To the point of wide spread starvation, sickness, and danger from the various bandit gangs that now plagued the common people without recourse.
