Wargs (W-ah-r-g)
Vicious, sabre toothed, wolf-like beasts. Bred in The Third Aeon by the Orcs. They formed the dreaded companions of their warriors. And the living terror of any army without a strong spear wall when they encounter a band of Orc Riders.
Reputed to be nearly as intelligent as any Orc, yet incapable of sophisticated speech. And are also said to be as fast as the wind. Even with an Orc Rider on its back. As they can grow to be large enough to carry a full grown Orc.
Their name is derived from the Orcish word for Wolf. And when spoken by Orcs, their name is Uzhahnuhorghu or "Hate Wolves."
Once, they were believed to have been an off shoot descendants of the Lycanids due to their close resemblance. But the theory was disproved in the Fourth Aeon, 1122 A.E. by the Alchemyst Guilds when one among their administrations decided to buy the carcass of one for its unique organs. The Alchemyst determined from examination of the organs that the Lycanids and Worgs were in fact, not related.
Though they're not fit for domestication in the communities of Men. They will always have a home at the sides of their Orc masters.
