Natural Resources
Widely considered to be the "Granary" of Makadelos, The Lazurion River Valley famously produces a majority of the continent's cereal crops, while the highlands to the north are famous for their wine, olives, and beef. While the western portion of the region tends to be too dry and rocky for agriculture, the region is known for being home to large pastoral communities and industrial ranches, raising goats, sheep, and cattle for their meat and milk. Despite the overwhelming presence of the region's agricultural sector, there are numerous other products that come from this region. Cypress and oak trees are cultivated for their lumber, while cedars, junipers, and ironwood trees are grown for ornamental purposes. Mining is common throughout the region, with the northern highlands being home to numerous Lead, Silver, Zinc, and Tin mines, while the Aigitolan mountain range hosts copper, silver, and Orichalcum.
