Griff

Griffs are territorial beasts, roosting in mountains or other elevated positions that can carry their weight, from which they fly high at night, and swoop down upon unsuspecting prey snatching them away, and using their crushing beaks to break open the unsuspecting prey's skull. Griff are well known to attack just about anything, if they're hungry or have young, which is most of the time. A griff's digestive system is capable of breaking down bones if sufficiently broken, and they use their beaks to systematically break down every bit of their prey into pulps before they gulp them down.   It is rather difficult to remove a Griff infestation, as they have little instinct to protect their nests or roost, instead they are quite willing to abandon their young if they feel sufficiently threatened and fly away to another peak to roost.   Griffs a beasts, with an avian head, with a huge flat and curved beak, used to crush bone and mince flesh, it's head and upper torso is covered in a thick mane, to which two massive wings are attached, it's lower body is covered in thin plummage from which long and flexiable legs are attached, from it's long and piercing claws are ready to grasp unto any unsuspecting prey.

Flyby. The griff doesn’t provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.   Keen Sight. The griff has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.   Slash and Snatch. If the griff dives at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a Talon attack on the same turn, the target takes an additional 10 (3d6) slashing damage. If the target is size medium or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 13). The griff has picked it up and may begin flying away with it.

Actions

Multiattack. The Griff makes one beak attack and one Talon attack   Bone Breaking beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) Bludgeoning damage.   Grasping Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) Piercing damage.
