Superhumans - Fictional

Fictional superhumans still exist, as do the many comics and stories that have been written about them. While these comics have never been part of the mainstream, where embellished encounters of real-life superheroes and villains have dominated, they nevertheless persist and give critiques and ask questions of modern superhumans.
While the stories still exist, not all of them predate superhumans' rise to the global stage. The 1960s, for example, saw a great many superhero stories published, but many of these were influenced by existing super-soldiers' powers and appearances, such as The Spider. Below is a list of some of the superheroes who predate all but the earliest superhumans in the world.

Others, such as Spider-Man, Thor, the Hulk, etc, still exist, but there is certainly a difference between how people view these later fictional superheroes and how they view those earlier ones.
