The League of Villains

You need us, we don't need you. You want Henchpeople? You want access you bigger and better weapons? You want less of a chance of someone else trying to edge into your territory? You want an official claim on your territory in the first place? Join us.   Or continue to operate on your own. That's your decision. But ask yourself, do you really think you're able to fend off other Villains and Supervillains who want to claim your turf? Do you really not want to have the ability to choose which minor Villains operate in your territory? Do you really want to go up against your Hero without the aid we can offer?   Yeah. We didn't think so.   What are some of the services we offer?   Henchpeople.   What's a Supervillain without Henchpeople? We'll hire them, we'll do background checks to make sure they're not Heroes in disguise, we'll cover their funeral expenses and we'll even pay their wages. You could hire Henchpeople on your own, but they won't come with the same guarantees that ours come with. If we accidentally let a Hero or Sidekick through, we will pay for damages caused by them.   Technology.   The best Mad Scientists work for us. Some of them even share some of their designs for extra pay. Get access to not only those designs but also fully constructed devices. We know that not every Villain can make their own Doomsday Devices and we are here to help you.   Territory registration.   Tired of other Villains trying to lay claim to your city/town/etc.? We will strictly enforce the borders of your territory when it comes to Villains in this League. Any Villains outside the League are not within our control, but we will pay for their funeral expenses should you decide to take strong action against them invading your registered territory.   Alliances.   It may be appealing to try to work on your own. Sometimes, however, something happens and you'll find yourself in need of help from your fellow Villains. We will find some who are willing to work with you for extra pay. If they betray you, we will pay for damages and eject them from the League. Their funeral expenses will also be paid and their assets given to those they betrayed.   What do you have to do for the League?   Pay dues.    This is expensive and will hardly cut into your profits. If you're a small enough Villain that you cannot afford the standard amount we ask, we will work with you to improve your income.   Donate technology.   If you are a Mad Scientist or other inventor sub-type Villain, we will expect you to contribute something you've designed to the League at least once a year.   Attend conferences.   This is to keep everyone in the League just aware enough of each other's plans to avoid unwanted catastrophic conflicts between plots.   Do not interfere with another League Villain's territory without reason.   Do not enter their cities without permission. Do not touch their Damsel. Do not touch their Hero unless the Hero enters your territory or you have permission. Punishment will be swift and severe.   What if you don't join the League?   We cannot stop you from choosing not to join us, nor do we have any interest in stopping you. Just know the risks you are taking by choosing this path and be sure you're able to defend your territory on your own.
