Trenna's Vein

Trenna's Vein is a great canal that runs from the north-east to the south-west past the northern edge of Lords' Light and though multiple different cities as it meanders across the world. It facilitates trade, transportation and is a major source of drinking water. Due to its large width and exceptional construction the flow is slow enough for ships to travel against the flow by rowing, steam power, magic power or when the weather conditions are favourable, sailing. In places the cities are cleaved to let the canal flow through or raised above the city on great arches of stone, elsewhere the cities itself has encroached over the canal forming vast tunnels.
