Cennas (Senn-ahs)

Cennas are a whale-like species native to the oceans of Venus. Often hunting in packs, they are usually the apex predators of whatever region of the seas they are in. With their massive size and debilitating bites, most creatures, and even many seafaring vessels, won't last long during an organized attack.
While mostly found in the Golden Sea, cennas can be found in many bodies of water around the planet. Given their ubiquity, most sailors know to give the cennas a wide birth, but some boats will specifically attract the creatures by offering a catch of fish thats about to turn or other foodstuff. By proving their worth to the traveling pod, they can hope to have them accompany them all the way to their destination and provide safety along the way.
However, other sailors will attract cennas with less benevolent intent. As dangerous as cennas can be, they can also be very valuable. Their skin makes for valuable armor on the high seas and cold, dark side of the planet, their fat useful for making oil, and their meat has acquired a desired status amongst elite circles.
