Reh'ha'shi (ray-HA-she)
The Reh'ha'shi, or "Beast Tooth Sword", is a traditional Cha'ari weapon incorporating the sharp, hardened teeth of a scree'reh.
The manufacture and use of reh'ha'shi can be traced back to the earliest periods of cha'ari civilization. Their construction is simple, being made of a large, flat wooden club carved from a single piece of hardwood, tough leather wrapping the haft, and a row of scree'reh teeth embedded and adhered around the club's thin edge.
The weapon is typically used like a sword, the teeth embedded in it acting both as a blade edge and saw. It can easily inflict serious lacerations, especially with teeth from a larger scree'reh.
Due to scarcity of the materials required for their construction, and the danger involved in their procurement, reh'ha'shi are extremely difficult to acquire. One would have to supply all of the materials to a cha'ari tiik'a, a specialized woodworker, who has knowledge of their construction. Most reh'ha'shi in existence are in active use by their commissioners.
