Aki Murudoki (アキ ムルドキ A-ki Mu-ru-do-ki)
Aki Murudoki, a British expatriate, ventured to Japan in pursuit of knowledge and cultural exploration. In 2017, she established "The Crow's Nest," a Tokyo-based bookstore serving as both a repository for diverse literary works and a platform for sharing European knowledge with the Japanese community. Aki seamlessly integrated into Japanese society, considering it her second home over the four years of joyously running her establishment.
However, tragedy struck in late 2019 when The Crow's Nest fell victim to an arson attack by a local gang demanding protection money. Refusing to yield to extortion, Aki lost not only her bookstore but all personal belongings. Driven by loss, betrayal, and a longing for retribution, she transitioned from being a bouncer to the world of the Yakuza. Undeterred by her "gaijin" status, Aki's strength and unique skills caught the attention of the Hidora Clans chairman. After overcoming trials, she earned a place in the Hidora Clan, a faction renowned for discretion and influence within Okubo.
Joining the Hidora Clan marked a significant shift in Aki's identity. While maintaining a partial connection to her British roots, years of immersion in Japanese culture have fostered a sense of belonging.
Despite her love for books, Aki is easily distracted by shiny objects, often leading her to stray off her intended path. Under high-pressure situations or in crowded environments, she tends to become overwhelmed. Aki's vision, a blend of extreme near and farsightedness, is significantly impaired without her glasses, limiting her sight to a mere meter in front of her. Her affection for books extends to her personal life, where she cares for a pet crow at home. Aki finds solace in the warmth of hot chocolate and tea, especially during winter, where she delights in wrapping up warmly. While disliking egocentric individuals and needless violence, Aki reveals a fiercely protective side when it comes to her family and clan members, displaying a strong aversion to rudeness directed towards them.
