1st Light Foils
The famed 1st Light Cavalry of Crowsend, sometimes referred to as the 'Gold-Shields' are an elite and well respected unit of light cavalry.

Wearing only light armor and carrying a light gilded shield, these troopers use the mobility of their mounts to avoid danger, rather than thick armor.
Each steed is also given light cloth barding to protect it without weighing it down.

Armed with a pair of swords;
One Foil, a long, light sword that is used like a lance on he initial charge, then abandoned once it is planted in a foe.
And a curved Sabre that is drawn after the initial clash.
In addition, each rider is also armed with either a small stack of Javelins, Throwing-Axes or a set of darts for use at range.

Founded by the forefathers of house Crowsend, the original Light Foils were the first caravan guards that defended house Crowsend as it traveled to settle at the base of The Spire.
