2021-07-17: Cookouts and Caves

General Summary

The party cooked up the hermitaurs they killed and had a group crab boil lunch. With the expert cooking skills of Kasai, the party received boons of durability and proceeded to the last part of the mangrove coast they haven't explored yet. They found a cave on the peninsula and were ambushed by a plesioth on the beach. The battle was made that much harder by the arrival of water spirits assailing the party alongside the plesioth, but the party prevailed and earned 160 gp each. 
They explored the area, camped out, and in the morning were assaulted by a zinogre. This fight was also made difficult with the manifestation of lightning insects from zinogre's hives, but the party survived and reaped the rewards of 200gp. After their victory, the party headed back to the main camp and reached level 8.

• 160 gp for the challenge encounter of the plesioth battle.
• 200 gp for the challenge encounter of the zinogre battle.
• Level 8.
