2021-09-18 and 2021-09-25: The Leshen Hunt
General Summary
The party traveled from their newly established Outpost Nightshade to proceed towards the rainforest of the eastern shore. While on their way, the party found a small expedition team charting a saltflat. They discussed their losses on the island and their homesickness. The next day, the party continued towards the southeastern peninsula and encountered a territorial banbaro. The banbaro was killed with a slick opportunity attack from Tsun and the party harvested steaks and monster parts from the beast.
On day three of the journey, the party entered the forests of the eastern coast and were accosted (largely harmlessly) by the enraged wildlife. Their seltas queen mount couldn't continue in the dense jungle effectively, so the party proceeded on foot to the marked location. There, they encountered the bark-crusted bone-dressed leshen, sparking a wild magic storm. The fight was tough -- Tsun was trapped in vines and ambushed by jagras, Kasai was haggard by a few jagras, and Sharn ended up trading melee blows with the leshen. After struggles, the party succeeded in defeating the elder beast and harvested parts and the leshen's elder orb.
Resting after the difficult fight, the party steeled themselves to sacrifice the elder orb to Kmuzat in one of their aqueduct complexes.
