Cyclical Pantheon

The Cyclical Pantheon is the incarnation of the sacred cycle of life, death, and rebirth. They do not hold physical icons in the sky like the Celestial Pantheon do, nor are they as widely worshiped. The names of the three gods often represents the actual phenomenons of life, death and rebirth -- they are synonymous with each other.   The sacred cycle is as follows. A soul, guarded by Yayisa and the Arbiter, is destined to be born. Alapi will wrap the soul in a newly formed spirit to house the mind, thoughts, and experiences of life. Alapi will then guide the soul and spirit gently into its new body and help it breath its first breath. Once it does, the life is now fated to live, grow, and eventually die.   At death, the soul and spirit begin to leave the mortal shell behind. When they completely detatch, they will travel together on an arduous journey colored by the experiences of life through the Shadowfell, the storm of creation, and eventually the mercurial astral sea. On this journey, they are guided by Maraian and its psychopomps. Once in the astral sea, Maraian returns the soul and spirit to Yayisa. There, the Arbiter and Alapi judge the spirit's actions and send it to a plane of metaphysical ideals best suited for its true nature. The soul remains and is stronger than before, ready for another journey of life with Alapi.   This cycle of life, death, and rebirth is one of the greatest sacred paths in Hillit.
